- Occupational Therapist
Julie Best, a native of Owensboro, KY became an occupational therapist in 2019 and started working at Wendell Foster in 2020. Julie has had some connection to Wendell Foster since she was 17, either through internships or work. Those connections and positive experiences sparked her desire to become an occupational therapist, with the goal of one day joining the Wendell Foster team. She achieved that goal and joined Wendell Foster in 2020. Julie has had experience working with individuals across the lifespan in a variety of settings, however, she is most passionate about the pediatric population and individuals with intellectual disabilities.
When asked what she enjoys most about working at Wendell Foster, Julie says, “Wendell Foster truly is a phenomenal facility and they hold to their values to provide their patients with the most exceptional care. Wendell Foster has opened my eyes to endless possibilities individuals with disabilities can overcome to become successful members of society. I love working with each of my patients and their families and watching their goals become reality every day. It truly makes coming to work easy.”
