- Speech Language Pathologist
Rachel Butler, a native of Henderson, KY became a speech therapist in 2000. Rachel has a special interest in working with children and adults who use augmentative or alternative communication (AAC). Rachel joined Wendell Foster in 2009 and returned as a full-time member of our team in 2020. Prior to her return, Rachel worked as the AAC Coordinator for the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation. There she supported the AAC needs for the students with complex communication needs. She also was lead team member in the creation of the EVSC “Lead Me Your Voice” AAC lending library. Rachel is a passionate therapist and advocate for her patients and their families. She has presented at state and national conferences on the subject of school AAC program development.
When asked what she enjoys most about working at Wendell Foster, Rachel says, “I’m blessed to have the opportunity to return to the amazing family at Wendell Foster.”
