In collaboration with the Commonwealth Council on Developmental Disabilities, Wendell Foster is hosting a screening of Bottom Dollars, an hour long documentary that exposes segregated workplaces and low wages often paid to people with disabilities. The screening will take place on Monday, November 26, at 6:00 p.m. at Wendell Foster’s Young Meeting. Through personal stories and expert interviews, the film presents a vision for better alternatives that promote community inclusion, equal opportunity, and fair wages. Popcorn and drinks will be provided.
A panel discussion will follow and include an individual with a disability who is employed in the community and their employer, as well as Katie Wolf-Whaley, MSW, CESP, Principal Investigator/Project Director of Kentucky Supported Employment Training Project @ UK’s Human Development Institute. Pamela Smith-Wright, Owensboro City Commissioner and Wendell Foster Board Member, will facilitate the panel discussion.
