The YES! Program (Young Empowered Self-Advocates) is designed to help prepare individuals with disabilities for life after high school. The program is offered to students ages 14 and up and teaches them skills to become independent and active members of their community. The group meets on a regular basis to explore various topics, such as self-awareness, social skills, personal relationships, independent living skills, workplace behaviors, and responsibilities. Donna Fox, the Youth Transition Coordinator with the Center for Accessible Living, will be sharing about the program and the plans to bring it to Owensboro.
For those interested, please contact Cindy Huston to RSVP.
