Staffed Residence provide an alternative to institutional care for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities who require up to 24 hours a day support. Wendell Foster maintains three bedroom homes in the community for participants who receive SCL waiver funding.

Participants in Staffed Residence receive individualized support based on their strengths, interests, needs and wants. Participants are supported to be an active and contributing member in their community. With assistance from Direct Support Professionals, individuals in Staffed Residence are supported to complete daily tasks to live in the community. Participants in Staffed Residence are supported in tasks such as:

• Grocery shopping
• Financial support
• Medical care
• Leisure activities of choice
• Vacations
• Personal hygiene
• Household tasks, etc
