Wendell Foster’s Annual Benefit Dinner and Auction: 75th Birthday Celebration Featuring Aaron Kizer

Wendell Foster, a local non-profit agency serving people with disabilities, will host its annual benefit dinner and auction on Saturday, June 4 at 6:00 pm at the Owensboro Convention Center. The theme for this year’s event will be a “75th Birthday Celebration” in honor of the organization’s 75th Anniversary and longstanding history. This inspiring night of generosity will include complimentary wine and beer, a sit-down dinner, and music from DJ Jeff Boling of Bo Knowz Muzic.
The evening will also feature a live performance from renowned artist Aaron Kizer. Kizer is an Owensboro native who uses his paintings to give back to the community. Kizer will create two original pieces during the event which will be included as live auction items. Attendees will have the chance to bid on exciting live and silent auction items, such as rare bourbon, curated travel experiences, sports memorabilia, and tickets to popular attractions.
The annual benefit auction is Wendell Foster’s primary fundraiser of the year. In 2021, the nonprofit raised over $150,000 through generous bids from auction attendees. “This year’s annual benefit dinner and auction will celebrate 75 years of service for Wendell Foster,” said Kara Howard, Vice President of Development and Community Engagement. “We are thrilled to welcome local artist Aaron Kizer as the evening’s entertainment. We look forward to sharing this memorable night with Wendell Foster supporters!”
