Supports for Community Living

Wendell Foster offers accessible housing to adults who need a supported home environment. Supports for Community Living was developed as a Medicaid waiver program for Kentucky residents, serving as an alternative to institutional care for individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.

This program provides 24-hour staffing supports while focusing on promoting the independence and maximum potential of each individual. Physical, occupational and speech therapies, as well as behavioral and psychological services, are available to people living in this setting.

Some people receiving Supports for Community Living also attend day training programs and recreational activities of their choice.
