Summary of Employee Benefits

Insurance Coverage

Eligibility begins first of the month following 60-days of continuous employment. Full time and Regular Part time employees are eligible to enroll.

Medical Insurance

NAA (available 1st of the month after 60 days)
Regular Part Time employees’ premium will be double the Full Time Rate. Wendell Foster also offers a Wellness Program to give employees the opportunity to lower their monthly premium based on a Wellness Screening.

Dental Insurance

Health Resources, Inc.
Discounted group rate.  Employee pays entire premium.

Discounted group rate.  Employee pays entire premium. 
Available to FT and regular PT employees.

Supplemental Policies

Colonial Life – Representative comes to WF annually.
Life and AD&D Insurance: Employee insured with one time annual salary;
Spouse $5,000; eligible children $2,500.
Additional life coverage may be purchased for an additional cost.
Benefits double with accidental death.  WF pays the entire premium.

Retirement System

All employees are eligible to make voluntary contributions to the WF 403(b) retirement plan from date of employment.
After 1 year of employment and 1000 hours, WF contributes 2% to Full and Regular Part Time as well as match up to another 3% based on employee contributions.

Time Off

Paid Time Off (PTO):

Full time employees accrue hours of PTO at various rates according to length of service.  Available to take PTO after 90 days.

  • Zero– 4th year: 184 hours maximum per year
  • 5 years – 14th year: 224 hours maximum per year
  • 15 plus years: 264 hours maximum per year

Regular Part Time Employees earn 24 hours of PTO per year after completing their first year.

Catastrophic Leave (CAT)

Full Time employees accrue 48 hours of CAT leave per year.
CAT time accrues to a maximum of 480 hours.

Free to employees, and their immediate family members, for personal and/or job related counseling.
