Wendell Foster is seeking community support on Giving Tuesday.
This day was created to ignite the power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide. Occurring this year on December 3, Giving Tuesday is held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving and the widely recognized shopping events of Black Friday, Shop Local and Cyber Monday to kick-off the holiday giving season and inspire people to collaborate in improving their local communities and to give back in impactful ways to the charities and causes they support.
Jeff Hagan, Wendell Foster’s Director of Marketing said, “This year we are encouraging over 4,000 of our Facebook followers to create a fundraiser directly on their Facebook page. This type of fundraising is called social fundraising or peer-to-peer fundraising. It’s friends asking friends.”
Every dollar donated makes a difference and goes to ensure quality of life for all people served by Wendell Foster. Services extend beyond the facility, reaching many living in our community.
